Lone Warriors was founded in 2015 by United States Marine Corps Veteran and Gold Star Son Eric Fort with the idea of using an all volunteer force to assist disabled US Armed Forces Veterans with small tasks around the home. He very quickly realized more could be done to make a daily impact on the lives of not only the Veteran but also their family. After several months of brainstorming and research, Operation TheraPic was born. By combining his desire to serve others and a passion for photography, Eric built the mission of Lone Warriors around utilizing photography as therapeutic outlet for helping to heal not only the invisible scars that so many US Armed Forces Veterans face as a direct result of their service to this nation but also for Gold Star Children, the shadow survivors who often struggle with ways to cope with the death of their hero. From Photo-A-Day Challenges to meeting with other Veterans or Gold Star Children to simply sharing the world through their eyes, Lone Warriors consistently strives to find new and unique ways to provide therapy through photography.
